The Sleighride, built by Mack of Germany in 1979, consists of 20-
free swinging tubs, attached to giant arms that follow a hilly track in a circle pattern.
The Sleigh Ride has a current replacement cost $1.4 million, with a total weight of over
140,000 pounds when set up, 80,000 of which is handled each time the ride is set up and
torn down. With over 12,500 light bulbs, the Sleigh Ride has animated figurines on its
upper scenery panel, a high intensity strobe light, as well as a crisp stereo system. Wood
Entertainment currently owns one of only five Sleigh Ride's residing in North America. |
